Hi Asheville 👋
We have faced unprecedented devastation—destruction, loss, and heartbreak on a scale we could never have imagined. Yet, in the midst of this tragedy, we’ve witnessed something remarkable: resilience. It’s the story of a community coming together, lifting one another up, and stepping forward in big and small ways to support each other.
This moment reminds us of a simple truth: the strength of a united community is unmatched. Together, we will rebuild, recover, and find our way forward.
Many of you have reached out, asking if we’ll be re-opening, and today I want to share an update.
By fortunate timing, we moved our truck, equipment, and other materials out of harm’s way the night before the hurricane struck Biltmore Village. We parked the truck in an outdoor storage area, surrounded by towering trees, bracing for the worst. We expected those trees to come crashing down, but against all odds, everything remains intact.
For this, we are deeply grateful. It’s a reminder that even amidst destruction, moments of grace can emerge in mysterious ways.
Giving Back – Empowering Food Entrepreneurs
Asheville has always been a unique hub for food entrepreneurs. And while Rebel Burger may not be re-opening just yet, we’re committed to supporting the community that supported us.
If you’re a local food entrepreneur in Asheville and a lack of capital is holding you back, Rebel Burger is here to help.
-
Food Truck, Equipment, and POS Hardware: You don’t need $100k to get started. With a minimal upfront cost, we’ll rent you a fully equipped food truck, complete with the tools and hardware you need to bring your ideas to market faster. For many, this is a game-changing opportunity to break into the food business without the high barrier of ownership costs.
-
Business and Strategy Support: Backed by the combined experience of our team—including expertise from Saks Fifth Avenue, Rent the Runway, and DoorDash—we’ll provide guidance in areas like team building, financial analysis, labor optimization, tech stack evaluation, branding, and marketing to help your business thrive.
Before Hurricane Helene, we were fortunate to create over 10 jobs and contribute more than $300k to Asheville’s local economy. Our mission was to bring something deliberately unique to this incredible city—combining the bold flavors of Lahore, Pakistan, with our signature burgers. The outpouring of support, over 300 Google reviews, and a 4.8-star rating confirmed that Rebel Burger resonated with so many of you.
We are deeply thankful to Hi-Wire for providing the infrastructure and support that made Rebel Burger possible. Now, we’re paying it forward, helping others bring their vision to life.
If you’re ready to take your idea to the next level, we’d love to hear from you.
Asheville has endured incredible challenges, but its resilience and spirit inspire us every day. We are proud to be part of this community and believe in its ability to rebuild, recover, and thrive once again.
Best,
Ali Amin
